Motorcycle crash kills Celina man
By ACN Staff
A motorcyclist zipping past northbound traffic on Preston Road died at the scene Thursday afternoon after colliding into a pickup.
He has been identified as 28-year-old Pedro Trevino of Celina.
His yellow and black Suzuki motorcycle had been traveling north on Preston Road at a high rate of speed, according to police reports, and the driver attempting to pass another vehicle on the right shoulder.
Frisco police and fire units responded to the accident at 2:39 p.m. Trevino was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured.
At about 2:34 p.m., Frisco police had attempted to make a traffic stop on a motorcycle that matched the description of the motorcycle involved in the crash.
Two motorcycles were traveling at a high rate of speed and had run the red light at Main Street and Preston Road. One of the motorcycles failed to stop in an attempt to elude police. The motorcycle went westbound on Main and eventually turned into a residential area.
After approximately three minutes, Frisco police terminated the pursuit of the motorcycle. The crash occurred approximately 1.7 miles and two minutes from where police last had contact with the motorcycle.
The Collin County Medical Examiners office made the identification and stated that alcohol was not a factor in Mr. Trevino’s death. The investigation continues.

" Why the hell are we eulogizing some idiot who just as well could have caused a traffic collision that could have killed any one of us? "We'll miss him at the casino". I'm sure you will. He was 28 years old. He wasn't some idiot teenager for god's sakes.
If he had been a real man, he would have just pulled over when the cops lit him up and taken his red light running like a man. Not some punk who decides that his own personal comfort is above public safety. Let me guess, he had a warrant and no insurance on the bike. Big suprise.....Think about that next time you pay for car insurance.

" This guy did not respect any authority or anyone. He was cruel and rude to others. He was a drug dealer whom did not mind having five children but never caring about even taking a decent job to support them nor himself. He was also involve in a stabbing a few years ago in front of his mothers home. And at the age of 28 still acting like a numbnut got him killed. "
